This ongoing project, which began in 2025, is one of our largest and most detailed jobs of the season. The customer requested a complete landscape transformation for their lakefront property, including new landscape beds, a patio, and a set of stairs leading down to their dock.
We started by excavating all weeds and removing sod to create clean, defined beds. After establishing an edge, we raised the beds with topsoil and prepared the area for planting. Before installing the plants, we excavated and constructed the stairs to the dock. Once the stairs were completed, we installed the new plants and finished the area with fresh mulch.
Next, we focused on the landscape near the deck area, removing sod, raising the beds, installing the plants, and applying mulch for a polished look. Finally, we constructed a patio in between the landscaped areas on the hill. The area was graded and leveled before we laid the bricks in a precise pattern—measuring and cutting the edge pieces for a perfect fit. To complete the project, we swept polymeric sand into the joints, compacted the surface, and applied water to activate bonding, ensuring a durable and long-lasting result.
After the patio was completed, we placed bluestone in the stair spaces, leveled each piece carefully, applied polymeric sand, compacted the area, and applied water it to activate bonding and ensure a stable, long-lasting finish.
